Application Examples
Two-phase cooling technology is primarily intended for very high heat generating electronics or systems with unique characteristics which preclude more conventional approaches.
If your system's thermals can be managed via heatsinks and air, that's the best way to do it. But if you have high heat loads (5kW+) or high ambient dissipation challenges (70c+)or need to dramatically shrink the footprint then this is the way to do it.
Hybrid & Electric Vehicles
HEV applications ar

e trying to fit more electronics in smaller packages with high heat dissipation. Since we employ a 2 phase process we bring the following benefits;
- Greater IGBT reliability - less thermal cycling due to more constant temperatures
- Greater overload protection - we simply boil more, the process is self optimizing
- Lighter weight - we need less mass flow which equates to smaller pumps, smaller line sets & less fluid
- Greater range - Since the process is so much more efficient the parasitic power draw is much less
Wind Turbines & Alternate Energy
The less weight you have in the nacelle the better and our system dramatically reduces the power elec

tronics physical size. No other process can decrease the footprint while increasing the power density as this system can.
- Safety - in the event of a leak our fluid flashes to gas and even if it should contact the electronics, it is non-conductive and non-reactive
- Service - the system is hermetic with a 5 yr L10 life, no regular service is require
- Weight - Past projects have shown a 2/3 reduction
- Freeze protection - none required
- Derating - none required
Power Quality
As energy usage increases our grid is becoming less stable, blackouts, brownout, weather are all issues that can c

ause a system failure. Parker is an expert at creating mission critical power management systems between the battery stack and the grid.
Military
Our systems are smaller, lighter weight and can dissipate more heat in high ambient environments than any other.

Parker is a key supplier to the military, give us a call with your most challenging problems.
Data Center Server Rack Cooling
You can see what we're doing is a surrogate for a data center thermal management system. Our system is safer & higher performance than
any water based approach. If your ready to break the hot aisle/cold aisle mentality and harvest your waste heat instead of blowing it in the air give us a call.
